"My hometown is Houston, Texas! Go ‘stros, Rockets and Texans! I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology. Currently, I am attending the University of Houston where I will be graduating with my master’s of education in Higher Education. I enjoy traveling, festivals (music or food), concerts and live music. My passion for education began as an AmeriCorps member where I served with City Year San Antonio for two years. Specifically, my current stake is centered on college access and student success.
During my time as a high school senior, we did not have college advisors to assist us with molding a sound and reasonable post-secondary plan. I hope to be the support that I needed while in high school. I plan to host tons of intentional workshops centered on the following topics: college app and scholarship completion, crafting an enticing personal statement, and navigating financial aid just to name a few.
