"This year, Summer School session will take place June 17 through July 19, Monday-Friday. We will hold district holidays on June 19th, July 4, and July 5 during this session to observe Juneteenth and the Fourth of July."

HISD is pleased to share the 2024-2025 HISD Compensation Plan. This is one of the most important examples of how we align our resources to ensure excellent instruction and stronger, more efficient systems to support students.

The plan is available to review in full here.

The CITGO Distinguished Scholars Program was created to assist students who plan to continue their education in a two or four-year university. Up to forty (40) scholarships in the amount of $5,000 will be awarded to select graduates of the class of 2025 from Alief, Houston and Spring Branch Independent School Districts (ISD) for fall 2025. Scholarships will be awarded in the following categories: Beating the Odds, Career and Technical Education, Communications, Performing and Fine Arts, STEM, Service and Leadership, Spirit, and Student Athletics.
