Cycle 4 Progress Reports coming soon!

Last Friday was the last day to submit assignments for the Cycle 4 Progress Report, which will be sent home next Tuesday! But parents, you don't have to wait until then to sneak a peek at those grades. Hop on over to PSConnect and check those grades now.  There are only 18 days left for students to bring up their grade before the close of cycle 4. If students' grades aren't at least a 70 in a class, they may be assigned to Mid-Day Tutorials to get them back on track. Mid-Day Tutorials run Tuesday through Friday, and attendance is mandatory. Students must report to their assigned tutorial or study hall session, as failure to attend may result in detention. Students should check Canvas for their tutorial or study hall assignments. Parents may also receive notifications if their student does not attend their scheduled session.

Let’s finish strong for Cycle 4!

Laptop Audits are here!

Students we continue with Laptop Audits this Monday during your homeroom. This audit is to make sure that your devices will access the required testing platforms. You will not be allowed to use your personal devices for testing as there are rules against that. Make sure you bring your HISD device. As a reminder, all students are issued an HISD Chromebook to access district services and instructional materials. Students are required to charge their Chromebooks each night and bring them to school daily, eliminating the need for personal laptops in the classroom. It is not acceptable for students to use their personal devices in place of their HISD Chromebook. Students, please leave your personal laptops and tablets at home.

We ask that parents be mindful of this and help us ensure students are using their HISD Chromebooks appropriately and staying focused on instructional activities.

Reminder: Student Volunteer Requirements

REMINDER:  Every DeBakey student must have at least 100 community service to graduate with a DeBakey diploma.

Remember, colleges look at the community service and how you give back to your community when choosing a candidate to accept into their school. The summer time is a great chance to get caught up and to give back to the community.
